Chad O'Bryhim

I'm a passionate, creative team member who has realized his true passion in programming and front-end web design. In my work as a manager and administrator in both the public and private sector, I've had to use a lot of unintuitive and uninviting services. Curious as to why these programs work the way that they do, I started teaching myself the basics of web development. Immediately, I knew this was an opportunity to marry my longstanding passion of design with an exciting new career in an important field. With web design, I get to combine my both my creative and problem-solving skills. And there's always more to learn!

My education and previous, non-tech roles have provided me with powerful communication skills when writing, negotiating, presenting and teaching new concepts. With a variety of teams, I've planned and organized events for hundreds of attendees by engaging with hyper-local and national volunteer systems. My experience has shown the importance of staying organized in thought, communication and workflow to manage multiple responsibilities and hit targets for clients and supervisors.

Specifically, I have training and experience in HTML5, CSS3, CSS Grid Layout, Flexbox, JavaScript, jQuery, Java, APIs, JSON, AJAX, Handlebars, Semantic UI, Bootstrap, Material Design, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, Database Theory, Bookshelf.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Command Line, Git, and more. I am a fast learner and highly self-motivated.
